Initial investigation suggests Jonathan Perry was involved in an altercation with the woman in the area of Old Boston Road in Tewksbury around 11:07 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, the office reports.
Perry allegedly grabbed the woman and held her against her will, both physically and with veral threats, while driving his car. Police later located Perry's car in the area of Fuller Street in Stoneham after getting confirmation from the woman's family that she needed help.
Both were found inside the car and Perry was arrested without incident, the office reports. A search of Perry's car also uncovered a "Polymer 380" ghost gun, which sells kits to manufacture guns that are not licensed, and a loaded magazine.
Perry was arraigned on several charges in Lowell District Court on Thursday, the office said. He was ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Sept. 20.
Perry's probation was also revoked which he was serving after pleading guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter out of Somerville, the office adds.
